Professional Team
Andy Kirk is an AAT PGA Professional with 35 years’ experience, giving him a wealth of expertise and knowledge. He is well respected in the area for coaching, working with people of all abilities from beginners to fellow professional golfers. Andy is also Director of Golf at Guildford Golf Club.
Sam Rebane, our Head Assistant, has a Triple Distinction Star in level 3 BTEC Sports Studies with a specific interest in golf. He also supplemented this with a Foundation Degree (Hons) in Golf Business Management. Sam has recently taken over the Junior coaching at the Club and offers group classes on a Sunday afternoon. He is also our resident repair man - whether it is getting your clubs re-gripped or fixing a broken club, Sam is the man to sort it out for you. Sam also enjoys competing regionally in PGA events, getting out and playing golf where possible with the members.
Derek Steele is the newest member of the team, a keen golfer who will be assisting the Pro shop team with administration, marketing and sales.
Teaching
Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn the basics before heading out on the golf course or looking to get that handicap down, our Professional team will be able to help you. Coaching in every area of golf is available and the team take time to get to know their customers so tuition can be tailored to suit the individual.

Indoor Simulator
Eliminate the guess work and cut straight to the problem with our trained professionals, combining years of experience with the latest video analysis. Book an appointment at ‘The Bunker’, whether it be for a lesson, practice session, custom fit, or gap testing. You can also play golf on the simulator with your friends on more than 15 courses, including Pebble Beach!

Juniors
The Professional team is well versed in coaching juniors of all abilities from ages 5 right through to 17. Andy and Sam offer one-to-one Junior coaching sessions at discounted rates, and these can be booked through the Pro’ Shop.
JUNIOR ROLL-UP LESSONS
SUNDAY 1.30 – 2.30 or 2.45 – 3.45
£10 a lesson or 6 for 5 (£45)
Sam runs Junior Group classes on Sunday afternoons. Roll-up Junior lessons are a great way to develop their skills and love of the game and make new friends. Our friendly, learning environment allows children of all ages to attend and interact with others within well supervised and safe surroundings. Our Junior coaching is run in line with the Junior Golf Passport Scheme. Individual and group lessons are available.
We also offer Easter and Summer Holiday Day Camps for children from 6 years old.
Guildford Golf Club is a perfect venue to teach and develop young golfers in a fun and positive environment. Beginner golfers are encouraged to discover the basic concepts and techniques of the game. Most importantly the emphasis is on fun and making sure the children enjoy themselves.
More advanced individuals are provided with more challenging skills and guidance offering individual, small group classes and on-course playing lessons.

Pro Shop
Like every other aspect of Guildford Golf Club, our friendly Pro’ shop is an extremely important part of making your time here as enjoyable and effortless as possible – whatever you need, from a ball marker to a new set of clubs. The Pro’ Shop stocks all the leading manufacturers, including Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Mizuno and Srixon. Clothing from Under Armour, Penguin, Green Lamb and Skechers is well represented and there is a wide range of FootJoy, Under Armour and Skechers shoes available from which to choose.
The Pro’ Shop operates a ‘price match’ policy on all hardware, clothing and trolley sales, so be sure to speak to a member of the team to see if they can meet your needs.
