WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

Submit an application form either in person or to office@guildfordgolfclub.co.uk . This is then passed to the Secretary who will be in contact with you to invite you in and discuss your application. Once this has taken place, you will be written to.

HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?

It is dependant on how the availability both yourself and Secretary to have the conversation. In general it is two to three weeks.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A REGISTERED HANDICAP TO JOIN?

Ideally yes but we understand that some people are coming back to golf after an extended break or are new to golf. If you do then it is asked that you submit this on joining.

WHERE CAN I GET AN APPLICATION FORM?

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW A CURRENT MEMBER SO HAVE NO ONE TO PROPOSE ME?

If you know a Guildford Golf Club Member who is happy to support your application, then please put their name down. If you don’t know a Member then please do not worry, each application is looked at on an individual basis and the Membership Secretary will discuss your golfing history with you.

WHEN CAN I JOIN?

The offer letter will have a start date of the 1st of the following month or later if specially requested.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A YEAR IN ADVANCE?

Yes you are asked to pay for your first year up front to show your commitment to the Club. Once this year has ended and you are invoiced again to bring you into line with the July Membership year, you can change to a monthly direct debit.

WHEN DOES OUR MEMBERSHIP YEAR START?

Our Membership year starts in July.

IS THERE ONLINE TEE BOOKING?

You can book online 2 weeks prior to the desired date. Online is from 08:00 or if you are onsite then this can be done in the Pro Shop from 07:00.
